Department of Public Affairs Administration

The Department of Public Affairs Administration is composed of 9 full-time teaching staff, among whom one is a Level Two Professor, two are doctoral supervisors, five are professors, two are associate professors, and seven have either doctoral degrees from or visiting-professor experiences in esteemed overseas universities. One faculty member serves as executive director of China Society of Administrative Reform, three as directors of the Chinese Public Administration Society, one as a member of Ministry of Culture Public Culture Committee, one as a member of Community Security Committee of China Emergency Management Society, and many others as expert advisers to various governmental and judicial organs. One faculty member has been selected into CUPL Excellent Young and Mid-aged Teachers Plan, one into Beijing Municipality Higher Education Institutions Young Talents Plan, one as the charging person of CUPL Young Teachers’ Academic Innovation Team, and two as State Excellent MPA Teachers. The faculty focuses its research in the direction of public governance and its members have either charged or participated many National Social Science Foundation Key Research projects, National Natural Science Foundation Major Research Plan projects, and government-entrusted managerial as well as legislative projects, covering a wide range of research areas including local governance, social security, management of non-profit organization, crisis and risk management, and government by Law, and demonstrating distinct research features.
